Spanish Sworn Translator | Lead Translator at Spanish Sworn Translators UK

Hi, I’m Ana — and languages have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.

I grew up in Valencia, where I fell in love with English through books, British TV, and the simple fascination of how differently people express themselves. Charlotte Brontë, Jane Austen, endless episodes of things I probably shouldn’t have been staying up late to watch — it all added up.

I went on to study Translation and Interpreting at university, which turned that early passion into something more grounded and purposeful. That degree gave me the technical foundation — but it was the years of work that followed that really shaped how I approach this job.

I’ve now been working as a translator and interpreter for 20 years. Over that time I’ve worked across universities, translation agencies, and government-related roles, and I’ve spent a good chunk of my life moving between Spain and the UK — which has given me a very practical understanding of how documents actually work on both sides.

I’ve translated just about everything: visa paperwork, medical certificates, police checks, contracts, court documents, inheritance papers. But the thing that stayed with me most wasn’t the documents themselves — it was the people behind them. So many had gone to a general translator in good faith, only to find out their document wasn’t valid for official use in Spain. The delays, the stress, the having to start all over again — it wasn’t right.

That’s really what brought me to Spanish Sworn Translators UK. I wanted to be part of something that took the confusion out of the process — where people could feel confident from the start that their documents were in the right hands.

Today, I lead a small, close-knit team that I genuinely trust. We work carefully, support each other, and make sure every translation meets the right standard. I stay closely involved, especially on anything complex. Between us, we’ve overseen thousands of sworn translations for customers across the UK and internationally.

We’ve also tried to make the whole experience as straightforward as possible — no appointments, no back-and-forth. Just upload a clear photo or scan of your document, and we’ll take it from there. Most translations are done within 24 hours, and often the same day.

These documents matter. Whether it’s for a visa, a new job, or something deeply personal — getting it right the first time is what counts. That’s what we’re here for.

Her Role at Spanish Sworn Translators UK

As Lead Translator, Ana oversees the quality and consistency of every translation that leaves the service. She works closely with the team on formatting, certification requirements, and anything complex or unusual — making sure that what goes out meets the expectations of Spanish authorities and is ready for official use first time. She’s also been central to shaping the internal processes and standards that the service is built around.

Ana is personally authorised by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores) as a sworn translator — the official designation required to produce translations that are legally recognised by Spanish authorities, consulates, and public institutions. Her role as Lead Translator is to ensure that standard is upheld across every document the team produces — from the terminology used to the certification wording and final formatting. Where anything is unclear before a translation is finalised, it gets flagged and resolved rather than pushed through. That careful approach is what keeps rejection rates low and turnaround times reliable.

Spanish Sworn Translators UK does not provide legal or immigration advice. The service is focused on preparing accurate, correctly certified translations suitable for official use, based on the information provided by the customer.
