If you are applying for a Spanish visa, registering a document with the Spanish Civil Registry (Registro Civil), dealing with an inheritance in Spain, submitting academic records for recognition, or completing any other official process that requires documents in Spanish — a sworn translation is not optional. A general or certified translation will not be accepted. Only a sworn translation prepared by a Ministry-authorised translator carries the legal recognition required by Spanish consulates, courts, notaries, and official institutions.
